Location: Seocho Dong, Seoul
Hours: Monday - Friday

Here is a little background information on us. We are a startup education company. Our story goes something like this... We all met at CDI when CDI was in its infancy (1,000 students, now over 60,000 students). Along this incredible journey, a friendship somehow formed despite our overwhelming differences -- a former hedge-fund manager, Big 4 consultant, aspiring film director, a Canadian (not former, although we are trying), and a few others. Despite these differences, we came together under a vision that education worldwide can be done better. Simply put, we want to change it. And as crazy as that sounds, you should have seen our disbelief when we were building CDI.

We are now embarking on another journey, one in which we seek to stay true the principles of innovation and quality in education.  We are currently teaching and working to create innovative programs both in the classroom and via internet. As we continue on this journey we find ourselves growing rapidly and looking for talented individuals to join us.  We will put a priority on those with extensive teaching/research experience in Korea or those with outstanding educational credentials.  Salary will be commensurate with experience.

The teaching part of the job will entail teaching writing/reading and listening/speaking.  As teachers we have established a reputation for excellence, as such our students are among the best in the nation. This commitment to quality means our institute is not for every student, in fact most of the students who apply at our institute are not accepted. This holds true for teachers and researchers as well, our institute is not for everybody.

-Teach 5 days from Monday to Saturday
-Hours from 3-10pm
-Students from the 5th year of elementary school to the 3rd year of middle school
-Salary is negotiable with no maximum, salary really is commensurate with experience

In addition to teaching, if you are so inclined, we are looking for a colleague who enjoys the challenge research and development. The research part of the job will be working with the head researcher on projects to create curriculum based on novels, textbooks and audio-video sources.  This encompasses methodology development, vocabulary selection, test creation, and creating in-house textbooks.  There will also be substantial amounts of editing and grammar correction.
