Description

Based in the southern region of the country, where the climate is warmer & where the winter is not as harsh.

80% of public school teachers in this area renew at the same school. They enjoy the location & the friendly nature of the local Korean people in this area.
Start date
:
APRIL, MAY, JUNE & SEPTEMBER 2009
No. classes
:
22 classes per week. 1 elementary 40mins & 1 middle school 50mins.
Working times
:
8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. No weekends.
Pay
:
2.1m to 2.95m won. It depends on your resume, whether you desire a city or countryside location & also if you teach in more than 1 school (with the total number of classes at 22 per week split between them.)
1,300,000won provided for inbound flight & 1,300,000won provided for outbound flight. If your flight is less, you save the difference!
Housing
:
Single, furnished, rent-free provided.
Medical
:
50% contributed by your employer, 50% contributed by you.
Pension
:
50% contributed by your employer, 50% contributed by you. American & Canadian teachers can get 100% back at the end of the employment contract.
Sick leave
:
11 working paid days.
Special leave
:
7 calendar days unpaid.
Severance pay
:
Equal to one month's pay, provided at the completion of the employment contract.
Other benefits
:
Training provided, Korean co-teacher provided, 2 additional weeks paid vacation, 2,000,000 won renewal bonus & flights provided if you sign for an additional year at the end of your contract.
1,300,000 won Entry & Exit allowance provided. If your airfare is less - you pocket the difference.
