YBM Pine Division is a special branch of YBM Education Inc. which focuses on teaching English using methods that would be seen in schools throughout the United States. All of our PINE schools are company-owned and directly managed; we do not have any franchise schools.
YBM Pine Division is planning to open a new school called GPS (Global Prep School) in Apgujeong, Seoul for bright elementary to middle school students. We are looking to hire a Head Teacher and a Supervisor to start working with us in August 2008 and assist with GPS program development. The school is scheduled to open in January 2009.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree from a North American 4-year university
- 1-2 years teaching experience in Korea
- F-4 Visa status preferred; applicants must be legally eligible to work in Korea
Start Date: August 2008 (flexible)
One-way airfare provided, medical insurance, one month’s severance pay at end of contract. 12 Teaching hours/week, overtime pay for extra teaching hours.
Head Teacher position
- Research and Development experience is a plus
Salary: 2.0-2.2 million KW/month + housing allowance (450,000)
Hours: 9-6pm during vacation (winter/summer), 2-10pm while school is in session (Feb-June, September-December)
The position includes teaching, overseeing teachers’ meetings and assisting with curriculum development/teaching materials.
Supervisor position
- 1-2 years Research and Development/Head Teacher/Supervisor experience
Salary: 2-2-2.5 million KW/month + housing allowance (450,000)
Hours: 9-6pm during vacation (winter/summer), 2-10pm while school is in session
(Feb-June, September-December)
The job includes overseeing new teacher training, teaching, teacher management, and helping with event organization. The supervisor will assist the Academic Director.
