The Foreign Language Institute of Cheju National University, Korea is looking for two qualified full-time English instructors to begin teaching on September 1, 2004.
The contract period is for one year. Contracts may be renewed upon mutual agreement of both parties. You are expected to teach early morning, day and evening classes, between-semester classes & Children's classes. Native speakers of English with a bachelor degree plus a minimum TESOL/TEFL certificate are needed. A master's degree in TESOL is preferred and experience in teaching at college level will be highly regarded. The two English instructors will be selected after screening the applicants' documents and an oral interview.
The conditions are as follows:
1) Starting date: September 1, 2004
2) 70 hours a month with related professional activities.
3) Salary: 1.8 million won per month
4) Overtime pay: 20,000 won an hour
5) Housing is provided (Faculty Apartment is located on the campus. 5minute-walk
brings you to the Institute.)
6) Severance pay upon completion of one year contract.
7) Medical insurance: 50%
8) Four weeks paid vacation
